USP Maritime growth – the importance of hard work

USP Maritime’s growth has continued onwards through the last 18 months. Our team has strengthened and developed as well. Recently our company has gone through our yearly individual appraisals which have highlighted a recurring theme.

The importance of hard work.

Chris Parke and myself have always stressed to anyone who will listen the value of an intelligent considered approach to business and it is a personal and business mantra for us both to consider and reconsider the best way to do things.

However this approach can only be successful if rested upon a solid foundation of hard work and a proactive mind set.

USP’s team is full of clever and passionate engineering professionals who work together with each other and our senior management to provide considered and intelligent services to our clients. The team’s successes are the result of its hard work.

Readers of this article who know me well will know my personal loathing and distaste of self-help mantras and quotes however it really is true that “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”. It is Chris’ and my ambition to work with colleagues who are both talented and hard working. So far this is paying off for our clients, candidate’s colleagues and company.

It is our plan that everything about the USP Maritime experience – client, contractor & staff – is going to continue to be refined, polished and built upon by focusing on being the most talented and hardworking marine engineering consultancy. The road ahead of USP Maritime includes sustainable growth of our team and of contractors and projects with our clients. Chris and I as Directors of USP Maritime cannot wait to share the journey with all of you in the marine and maritime industry.
